Explore Bourne

The Gateway to Cape Cod! Bourne is considered the "first" town on the Cape as travelers enter it upon crossing the Bourne, Sagamore or Railroad bridges. The town lies at the northeast corner of Buzzards Bay and is the site of the Aptucxet Trading Post, the nation's oldest store, the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and the National Marine Life Center, whose core mission is to release rehabilitated stranded sea turtles and seals.

Things to do: Take a leisurely bike ride or a scenic walk along the Cape Cod Canal Bikeway. Or visit one of the many beaches such as Gray Gables Beach, Picture Lake, Sagamore Beach, Squeteague Harbor, Hen Cove or Monument Beach with it's wide sandy shoreline, calm waters and full facilities. End your day with a memorable seafood dinner at the Lobster Trap Fish Market and Restaurant.
